Glazed

Specifically developed Raku Glaze is applied to bisque pots and fired in a gas kiln to approximately 1850° and then reduced in a carbon-rich atmosphere.  The color of the glazed finish is determined by the chemical ingredients, including various metal oxides, and the intensity of the reduction process. 

 Glazed raku pottery is art and is not food safe or watertight.
